Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on October 1, 1995. She is most famous as an actress, having appeared on screen in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004) and Chrissie Mair's Content House.

Asia Argento, born in Rome to a household that includes directors and actors, pursued both professions. Sogni e bisogni, directed by Sergio Citti and starring Asia Argento, at nine, was her debut film. She played the lead in the film as Cristina Comencini in her first film Zoo in 1988. Michele Soavi directed The Church 1989. Later in the year, she was Nanni Moretti's daughter Red Wood Pigeon (1989) (also directed by Moretti). Close Friends (1992) by Michele Placido (both writer and director) is the year that Asia started to really take off. It helped her move beyond the role of cute females to more sophisticated adult characters. Cannes International Film Festival was a huge success for the film. The Phantom of the Opera was the third film she has made alongside her dad. Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome were her first two. The Phantom of the Opera is a film that was created by her late father and is the final of three films she's worked on. The other two were Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni used her absorbed and intense acting style in Condannato, a nozze. Also, she was a part of the role in the international cast of Queen Margot directed by Patrice Chereau. She also was in a role in a film with Michel Piccoli as Traveling Companion by Peter Del Monte. This role won her both an award from David di Donatello (for the top actor) as well as a Grolla in Oro. Asia started to direct short films around 1994. The two she directed were Prospettive, 1996, she directed a documentary about her father, and Abel/Asia from 1998. Both focused on the cult film director Abel Ferrara. This latter was awarded by the Rome Film Festival. In 1999 Asia made her feature-directing debut with Scarlet Diva (2000), where she played the lead actress as well as the writer for the script. In May 2000, the film was released both in Italy and around the globe. The film was given a special prize at the Williamsburg Film festival in Brooklyn. Anna Lou was born in 2001, after having directed several music videos. In 2002, she starred as Jean-Marc Bar's co-star The Red Siren (Olivier Megaton) and Vin Diesel was the star in Rob Cohen's thriller The Action. Asian's short stories have been featured in prestigious publications.
